Key Job Description
- Teach weekly classes of pre-schoolers.
(class size to may be 5–20 children, with Chinese assistant).
- Supervise other teachers, function as school administrators.
- Help develop curriculum and lesson plans prior to beginning of school year.
- Communicate via interpreter (provided) to parents their children’s progress and/or issues.
- Maintaining and decoration of classroom facility.
- Tracking and recording students’ development and progress.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 semesters/18 quarters Early Childhood Education units (or similar area of study) preferably with an AA/BA in Child Development.
- One or more years experience teaching pre-school or kindergarten.
- Willing to commit to a 2 - 3 year contract.
- Enthusiastic, ready to adapt to a new culture.
- TESL qualification—preferred.
- Aptitude for teaching crafts and music—helpful.
- CPR first-aid certification—helpful.
Compensation
- Package should be comparable to U.S. after tax earnings.
- Salary: U.S. $15K/year
